When we go out in public with five, count em, five boys in tow, we are often asked “how do you do it?”  We just smile and say “one day at a time”.  There is no other way.  Our boys are amazing.  We are a blended family of ‘his’, ‘hers’ and ‘ours’.  We, Bryan and Heather, both have boys from a previous marriage who are currently 12 years old.  Then, after we got married we decided to have a baby together.  As our family expanded in 2013, we welcomed another boy.  Jonah is now 3 and keeps us busy.  Having three boys already we went down the ‘just one more’ path to get our girl.  God had different plans (and a sense of humor).  We went to our first ultrasound of that pregnancy only to find out that there were not one but TWO babies this time around.  I laughed, mom cried.  Our heads were spinning.  We decided though, that given this unprecedented news for either of our families we were certain to have a girl.  We had gender reveal cakes made and let the bigs each cut into one. First cake revealed a boy.  Panic began to set in as we started thinking of the possibility that we weren’t getting that girl.  Breathe.  We got this.  Chances are, right?  Wrong.  Another boy and looking back now, we couldn’t be more thrilled.  We’ve got the boy thing down at this point, so no having to learn all of the girl differences.  Eli and Andrew joined our family and it was complete.  So, here we are today to share our crazy, fun, chaotic lives with you all.  We hope that you enjoy our little site and we’d love to hear from you in the comments.
