Charleston, SC is such a cool town. There is so much to do for people of all ages and interests. As you know, we were recently there for the Charleston marathon and while there we decided to make a family adventure out of the visit.
We stayed at the Embassy Suites in downtown Charleston which was a beautiful hotel and suited our group perfectly with enough space for all of our kids and a breakfast buffet … what family of 7 wouldn’t appreciate that!
After the marathon we hit the Children’s Museum to burn off some energy (the kids of course … Bryan was good after the marathon) lol. By the way, it’s half price after 3:30pm … win!
We enjoyed happy hour and dinner at the hotel that night … apparently someone enjoyed happy hour a little too much!
And we wrapped up our Charleston trip with a visit to the aquarium. The kids loved seeing all the fish and getting souvenirs.
Oh and I’ll add for large families or families of multiples I thought the children’s muesium and aquarium were perfect. Neither were over crowded and I felt like the twins could get out and explore without me stressing the entire time. Much better experience than other places where I wouldn’t dare let them down for fear they would be lost in the crowd immediately.
